Lion Air plane crashed in the waters near Ngurah Rai Airport, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia



Bali, Indonesia - Lion Air plane crashed in the waters near Ngurah Rai Airport, Denpasar, Bali, before landing on Saturday (13/04) around 03.00 pm local time.

Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft are reported to have approached the airport runway but crashed into the water and causing the fuselage broken.

Airport authority ensure all passengers numbered 101 men and 7 crew in good condition although there are some who suffered injuries.

Ngurah Rai airport was closed for about an hour following the accident in order to facilitate the evacuation process.

Until now not known what caused the plane crashed before landing.

Meanwhile, a recent analysis, the fall of the Lion thought for microburst or wind phenomena tossed down high speed.
